OUR STORY

I guess we should start with the basics:

My name is Liliana, I was raised in Mexico City, and moved to the USA a few months after I turned 30 in 2015, in search of big changes I needed to do in my life, find more independence and perspectives from my bubble, share a little bit of my culture, and soak New Orleans’.
It’s been a wild and challenging ride. Moving to a new country and culture is one of the toughest things I’ve done, and yet it’s been one of the most rewarding ♥️

I’m a certified culinary nutritionist & herbalist. I have also studied immunology and have recently begun my studies to specialize in Holistic Women’s Health (for some reason I find hormones fascinating). I’m a culinary artist , gluten free baker, fermentist/brewer; a grower of herbs and flowers… and I tie all of these elements I am passionate about into South of Eden.

My journey started from my own health -and even emotional- issues. I LOVE to celebrate the beauty of flowers & properties of plants, and want to make herb medicine as beautiful and delicious as I can, aside from the traditional plant medicine I was trained in which gave me all the bases to feel confident to share this powerful medicine.

I’m a spring Aries baby. Have a huge obsession with music (Radiohead is my forever #1 band), I am an amateur singer (used to be part of the most magical choir) and DJ (love me some techno beats). I have two pets that bring me so much ♥️: Zaha, my pup; Tulsi, my kitty. I’m also super passionate and intense about women’s rights ?
